Kashmir

In 1991 I made a trek into the Himalayan Mountains of Kashmir where I encountered a culture of shepherd people.

I recall distinctly how the mountains seemed to speak of a long human history and how the people were very quiet.

These paintings were done from photographs I took, and reflect my interest in traditional realism.
